Overview:
Fujitsu seems quite bent on somehow merging the three ideals known as affordability, performance and aesthetic value, and the latest project apparently meant to embody such a merger is the LifeBook SH530 mobile computer, a 13.3-inch portable system with Intel processing power and AMD graphics.
The laptop has, at its heart, the Intel Core i5-460M central processing unit, whose clock speed is of 2.53 GHz.
This chip is backed up by 4GB of RAM and is paired with an ATI Mobility Radeon 5000-Series graphics solution with support for DirectX 11.
In order to make the best of this configuration, the notebook comes with a HD-ready screen (native resolution of 1,355 x 768 pixels) with LED backlighting.
Also, to ensure that one always has enough space for all the desired films and other kinds of videos, Fujitsu threw in a hard disk drive with a capacity of up to 500 GB.
Other specifications of the LifeBook SH530 include a HDMI output, a spill-resistant keyboard, an aluminum enclosure, a weight of 1.99 kg and, of course, the full range of connectivity and I/O options, though the press release does not go into too many details.
"Just like how modern day individuals strive to exceed expectations in their life, Fujitsu endeavors to exceed expectations in our products,”said Mr Hanson Yap, Product Manager, Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific.
“With the introduction of the Fujitsu LifeBook SH530, Fujitsu is giving users access to mainstream computing capabilities together with added surprises to make their lives easier," he added.
The Calpella-based notebook should soon start selling, but its maker has not been exactly forthcoming in terms of pricing and availability details.
The company settled for letting its prospective customers know that there will be two color options, one red and one black, and leaving them to wonder by themselves just how affordable this machine will actually be.
