Description:
The D5100 follows the previous generation's recipe for success pretty closely. This camera happens to feature the same mighty 16.2 megapixel sensor as the D7000. Actually, It has the D7000's internals, that helps to churn out 1080p video at 24fps, 25fps, or 30fps.
The D5100 is also better that its predecessor in terms of physical fitness. It`s 10 percent lighter and smaller, and at the same time features a good number of the physical controls (that have been repositioned in order to allow for a new horizontal opening mechanism). The new model is able to continually autofocus.
Due to the new information the new screen's also 17 percent thinner. It steps up to a 3-inch diagonal with a 920k-dot resolution. Soon you`ll have an opportunity to get a full spec sheet. Pricing for this camera is set at $800 for the body only.
$900 will cost the body plus an 18-55mm VR kit lens.
The D5100 has an external mic input and you can also purchase the ME-1 external mic priced $180.
Both these things are expected to come to the market on April 21st.

Sony Alpha NEX-7
Updated 01/26/2012:
NEX-7 was released recently and it was unveiled that it`s the first mirrorless camera to pack a 24.3 megapixel APS-C sensor. Unfortunately due to the flood in Thailand which affected Sony’s factories, the launch of the device was delayed. Now Engadget says that Sony Nex-7 after being beset with flooding-based delays, will take a bow at the end of February. The company's flagship mirrorless ILC will set you back $1,350 for the kit edition with an 18-55mm lens.
Fujifilm X100 camera
A real hit from Fujifilm attacked photo-market. Though the new-age vintage camera costs $1,200, it`s still flying off from shelves. The retrotastic X100 camera has actually made its popularity, that caused some shortages. The present disaster in Japan leads to a stoppage of production that makes that situation worse.
