Just-announced Panasonic Toughbook tablet is, perhaps, the world’s first blue-collar Android tablet. The device was shown at Panasonic’s InfoComm booth (3829) in Orlando, FL. InfoComm runs through Friday, June 17.

Panasonic has just launched the Toughbook U1 Ultra, a more powerful version of the existing Toughbook U1. Among the improvements, there is 2GB of memory (versus 1GB previously) and 64GB of solid-state-drive (SSD) storage (versus 16/32GB for the U1). The processor has been slightly upgraded as well and this time, the computer comes with Windows 7 instead of XP (for better or worse).

Panasonic have outed their latest Micro Four Thirds camera, but rather than try to squeeze DSLR-style interchangeable lens flexibility into your pocket, they’re strapping it to the front of a relatively compact HD camcorder. The Panasonic AG-AF100 has a single-chip micro 4/3-inch 12.1-megapixel sensor and records at native 1080/24p.

The Panasonic Lumix G10 is one of the lightest cameras in the world, and according to Panasonic it has the lightest body. The Panasonic G10 is expected to be the answer to this year's most emphasized requirement, namely a decrease in prices due to more competition from manufacturers such as Olympus, Samsung and Sony. The latter has recently clarified its strategy during the CES, with respect to system cameras, and the general expectation is that the first Sony system cameras will be introduced around the time of the Photokina 2010 in September. The Panasonic Lumix G10 is very similar to the G2, but it has a few lesser specifications.

Based on its venerable predecessor G1 body, the Lumix DMC-G2 will feature a new touch control shooting interface, 12.1 megapixel sensor, 720p HD video (AVCHD lite format), live view finder, a 460k dot 3.0″ swivel/twist/rotate LCD, AF tracking, face recognition, intelligent exposure, scene selection, intelligent ISO, optical image stabilizer (in lens), selectable color modes, intelligent resolution that aids in improving detailed textures, dust reduction system, and the new Venus Engine HD II processor.

Panasonic introduces the new 2010 line of Lumix digital cameras, which includes the 12.1 megapixel Panasonic Lumix DMC FH1 digital camera. The Panasonic FH1 is a slim, pocketable camera that packs a 28mm wide-angle lens with 5x optical zoom. The new Panasonic Lumix camera can record High Definition video and is extremely easy to use thanks to iA (Intelligent Auto). The camera is compatible with Windows 7 and can take HD-quality still photos that fill a 16:9 HDTV.
